Across rural West Bengal and Jharkhand, thousands of elderly men and women live alone — abandoned by families, forgotten by systems, and without access to basic care. Asha Kiran Grd has been reaching them for over 14 years with home visits, medical support, and the simple gift of human companionship.
What We Do
Home-Based Care
Trained volunteers visit elderly beneficiaries at home, providing personal care, hygiene support, and emotional companionship on a regular schedule.
Medical Support
We coordinate with local health workers and doctors to ensure elderly individuals receive timely medicines, health check-ups, and referrals.
Social Reintegration
Through community gatherings and family counselling, we work to rebuild social bonds and reduce isolation among the elderly.
Entitlement Access
We help elderly beneficiaries access government pensions, ration cards, and welfare schemes they are legally entitled to but often unaware of.
